Battery pack for Keis heated vest

I don’t know if this helps, but this is what’s written on the back of the pack.

The heated kit gets much warmer when powered by the bike compared to the battery pack.

But the lead would need to run over the tank
or route it along the side - this is what I have done on the V85 to get 12V to the cockpit from my Thunderbox. Stupid bike came with a low power 5V USB not a 12V outlet. Just ran the wire along the side of the tank and frame rail to a socket. Obviously, you will be having power go the opposite direction.

There’s this one with 20000mAh

And it says the DC output is 3A

It can’t be beyond the wit of man to route it differently or to remove the tank or panels, surely? It’s what I did when I routed the power supply to my dual heat controllers, which I put onto the clutch reservoir on my 1600. The power lead started way back under the seat, tapped into the ludicrous power socket down by the rear shock.

If it’s easier, use a Thunderox to supply the power. From which run the lead to somewhere convenient.

3A at 7.4V = 22.2 watts

you need 3.4A at 12V = 41 watts

is there anything in the spec to say it will supply 12V

it's the watts (power) that generate the heat

But it would look shite as nowhere to really route it

Thanks for suggestion but I’m going to go the battery option .
That last one I posted chuck out 3 amps and the best is 3.2 so it should heat it pretty well.
If not I’ll send it back and get the Keis one at twice the price for 1/4 the capacity .

Ah bugger .
Maybe I’ll just get the Keis jobby and be done with it 😜

Right.
Battery and adapter ordered . Hopefully the correct one .
Keis plug on my vest is a 5.5 x 2.1 male .
Battery DC input is 4.0 x 1.7 female.
So I’ve ordered a (pack of) 5.5 x 2.1 female to 4.0 x 1.7 male adapters.

Getting it sent to the Amazon locker near my LHR hotel as I’m over on Thursday to nip to Cape Town.
Slight bonus was I got a 20% off voucher for some reason at check out so covers the VAT I’ve had to pay 😜
Will probably pack my Keis so I can see if it all works .

If not I’ll send the battery back and buy the Keis one for nearly 3 times the price and 1/3 the power .

Thanks for all the help on this life and death matter 😜

Surely that Termi Sex Box just shrouds you in a bubble of an Italian style luxurious heated bubble ?

Back home so tried battery pack and it works just fine with the adapter I bought ( x5 😛).
Jacket seems to get as hot as it does when plugged in to bike battery .

The battery fits fine in the Keis inner pocket too . I’m sure it’s a bit thicker but it’s got three times the capacity for under half the price of the official Keis battery .

Will be just fine for my intended use
