I've got a Oxford oximiser 900 can I use it as a trickle charger on my r1200 2011 model if I put the fly lead to the battery ...with all this can bus malarkey I'm unsure if I can but my car is can bus and I can connect charger straight to the car ?

I had one on my RT's and didn't have any problems with canbus.

Mine was connected to the battery directly and not via 12v socket.
