I'm trying to find a way to open attachments on emails (spreadsheets in particular) and then save them to the Playbook so that I can change them and send them back.

The only option I get when trying to save them is to save it either to the BB phone or the memory card installed in the phone.

Have you got a prog on the PB to open the spreadsheet?

If not, it will just see it as a file it doesn't know.

Sheet to go opens the spreadsheet perfectly adequately & allows me to alter it but will only let me save it to the phone's memory. Sort of misses the point of having a 64G Playbook really :(

There's something wrong (as if you didn't already know that, sorry :blast) then......it should allow you to save it on the PB by default.

Without being in front of it, It's impossible to say, but have a read HERE H :thumb2

Save a spreadsheet. Swipe down from the top bezel. Tap the Save icon. Tap Save As to give your work a new name. The file is ordinarily stored on your PlayBook. If you have a BlackBerry smartphone linked to your tablet, you can tap Save To and have the new file stored in the phone’s flash memory.

I think it should automatically save any downloaded attachements in the File Manager, that's where all my PDFs, docs, xls etc. end up

If using the bb bridge then no, it won't save the attachment as it downloads to the phone and saves it there.

I have had the same issue today and the only I found was to send it from the computer.

Maybe you could bluetooth the file from the phone?
