BBQ in North Kerry 16th July

Had a wee off, so hafta cancel

Our young lad was 18 this week so we decided to get him a trials bike. He's dead keen to get going on a bike and I kept telling his mother that a trials bike would be the safest way to go (ho hum). Anyway, we picked out a nice Sherco 250 and when we went to collect it on Tue evening I, of course, had to take it for a spin around the yard. All was going well until I flicked it into 2nd and fcuk me, it took off like an aeroplane, straight into a big, very solid harrow at the side of the yard (a harrowing experience, yeah, yeah). Brought to Naas hospital and then on to Tallaght where I am now, after having 2 plates and 13 screws put into my left arm, lots of cuts and bruises too, and will have a cast on for 6 weeks.

Was I wearing a helmet, er no, was I wearing gloves, er no, was I wearing boots, er no, do I feel stupid, er yes.

Anyhow, the upshot of it all is that I have to cancel going to the BBQ in Kerry, apologies Kev and Mide.

It'll be a great weekend. Hopefully see yiz at the next one. :beerjug:

:blast Sorry, but I'll have to bow out on the "Bog Roast"! DOE on van showed some urgent issues needing attention before taxing. :blast

Enjoy the food, the craic, the conversation, the rides and of course the :steptoe

Maybe Kamikaze/Daithi might cover the polo shirt and I'll fix them up for it next week?

Have a great time!
