I had one of these on my 2010 and although at the time, I didn't notice it much, I'm thinking my new 2015 LC looks a bit strange without one?

Whats the options on these things as most look like you have to drill them to fit...

Some cheap ones on e-bat.. any other option to consider that look good?.. Cheers

Beaver I got one of the Chinese copies off fleabay £22 and I have to say it fits perfectly , feels decent quality and looks the part.

I usually buy branded but was tempted to try a cheap one and am pleased with it.

I have one too and it's great.

because without it (my bike is black).. it looks like something from darth vader's helmet... the older bikes were not bad, but as the design has gone forward, it's become more pointy, angular and naff IMO.. it's something I'd like to cover up a bit ;)

China e-bat one to order then :) cheers

I got one of the Chinese ones and they forgot to include fitting kit.

They refunded me £10 so it's only cost me £12. But can anyone help with the fittings I need?

Ta very much :)

Scratch Protection

I have to ask, but why? The cleanest place on my bike is the underside of the beak. It never gets dirty.
For me, it was scratch prevention, or should I say It would have been if I’d fitted one sooner! When garaging the bike, I do a 3 point turn to have it facing outwards to ride past the car. As I performed the turn, the front mudguard was scuffed as it brushed against the house wall so the extender both covered the scuff & guarded against further ones!

And that.. stone chips... etc.. bit of added protection ;)

best one I've seen is £24.14 from a UK vendor... take care though.. he tried to scam me on the post!.. Gemigemi or someone ;)

Why would you even entertain someone who as you say tried to scam you! I hope you reported him to Ebay.

Does no-one have a picture of one of these things? None has come up with a good reason to fit one and it just sounds like a daft idea without some kind of visual aid.

Here you go.. you may like / may not like... but the fronts have become very extream now.. so it just covers it up a bit and adds protection..

No way.. they are solid and as said, very good for impact... You've more chance of the screen coming off and taking your head off aty speed I'd say :)

Not if you get some "Cymarc" screen supports, when they eventually turn up................

Mmm.. what do they replace? will have to have a look... quite expensive... I'm sure I could make some quite a bit cheaper ;)
