I recently saw an 1100 with a 1150 beak and I believe there is a thread about swapping them but I'm Buggered if I can find it

Is the conversion a direct swap or is there a lot to it?

you did indeed - I took it off as it had been badly scraped - but with the respray is once more fit to be seen. TBH I'm as happy with as without. The beak is at the end of the day nothing more than a style cue with no other purpose. The old story of it being an 'air scoop' is pure nonsense.

I saw an 1100 with the 1150 beak at the Shropshire do, it did not really do anything for me, I did look at the advrider thread previously, seems like a lot of hassle for little return, I think the older bikes look fine with their original beaky bits, I quite fancy the twin headlamps though.
