On Wednesday, for the first time since the SS got barred from the whole of Blair Atholl, I have a full one of your Earth days to myself.

The forecast is good, the bike is fuelled and my phaser is set on stun.

Down to Dingadongwall, up Strath Carron to Applecross for lunch methinks and home via Ullapool and Lairg.

Oh, yes indeedy.

Anyone else out tomorra?

Cracking day oot.

Groats to Dingwall, Loch Carron, Applecross, Gairloch, Ullapool and back down Strath Oikel to Lairgs and home.

Temp 15-16 degrees (hit 17 just south of Ullapool), bit of snow still at the top of Bealach na Ba, roads dry and still empty of tourists. The seafood stew and a pint of Red Cuillin is just as good as ever at the Applecross Inn.

Only saw 4 bikes all the way round.:nenau
