Riding back from Ponderosa yesterday when I was aware I could ( thought ) hear my cam chain starting to rattle..got a tad louder as I neared my mansion house.....so today, thought I'd nip off the front cover and have a little look in there...only to find that the two allen bolts holding the bean can in position had become really loose..I could wobble the bean can !!!

Timing was/is unaffected as she was/is running as sweet as a nut...so, tightened the two allen bolts up..and bingo:bounce1, nice and quiet again ( and I was going to order a new timing chain this morning !!:) )

Worth a quick check if you can hear a rattle from the front end.....still wondering why the timing didn't go right off though ?:nenau

Were you disturbed last time you were trying to steal the beancan? :D

Those alternator brushes look badly worn and judging by the terrible soldering they've been replaced before.
