Just remember not to take both the wheels out at the same time on this one

my, what a memory you have ! :D . At least I'm ready for yer trackday now -if you can't sort it, how 'bout a trip to the Nurburgring? Also, any chance of fabricating a bracket so I can fit me Worldbeaters to the HP2? Be dead handy that :thumb

that has to be the WORST web site i've ever seen! How on earth did you have the patience looking through that?? Not even any decent pictures of it

The pixalated pictures of it look nice but it's way too heavy at 190kg, it only has 72kW on tap, has chain drive and it doesn't come with super moto wheels. The HP2 walks all over it... and ya know it :D :D :D. I feel a race coming on ;)

...some piccies of me new bike.

The pesky dealer didn't tell me the the super moto wheels weren't in stock - he's put them on order with BM and doesn't know when they're going to arrive :spitfire

Anyway here it is, fresh from the showroom...

The HP2's a smashing bike by the way. For anyone thinking about getting one, go for it - you won't be dissapointed :thumb

.

Nice one Geoff. Enjoy. Funny seeing the two side by side. When I saw the HP2 originally in Nice, I thought it was much bigger than the ADV. Looks about the same height, though the way you're teetering on the photie outside the shop, I'd say the seat's higher. Mind and run it in gently now... :D

Rob

Hi Rob, great to hear from ya :beerjug: . Me bikes more or less run in already- 690 miles back home and it's first service is already overdue  .

We had a great ride home - from Aberdeen we travelled via Balmoral - Perth - Gretna - Carslile - The Dales - Peak District - Derby and finally London. I stuck the GPS onto minor roads and turned motorways and major roads off. Most GPS guided routes turn out to be an adventure anyway :D but this one was truly superb. We only did about a 100 motorway miles all the way back.

I'd say that the HP2 is about 2" taller than the Adventure - I found it can be quite tricky to dab a foot down when using it off-road. It's also muuuch lighter than the Adventure and tends to "bounce" about a bit more than the Adventure. I think I'm going to stick the super moto wheels on it and use it as a road bike. It feels like an XR400... until you get it all wrong... :D

Geoff,

You me and Simon need to get out for a ride on the HP2's. We'll show those pogo rider's what a real enduro bike can do eh!

BTW, where were those off-road photo's taken? looks like good trails.

Roy.

The pictures were of the green lanes around the Derby/Matlock area, the Horizons Unlimited bash I went to last weekend. They organized an off-road ride out and it was excellent - very technical and challenging - loads of rock sections. The local lads were great guys, showing us around and would definately be up going out with us if you fancy a trip up there. It's only 2 1/2 hours from London so closer than Wales and definately a lot more tricky  . They all use pogo's.

Here's a few more piccies of our ride out...

the pogo's...

the tracks were quite overgrown - the HP2 had to be leant side to side to clear the branches on this bit
