Led me to purchase not one but two of the finest tripod type stool ever manufactured outside China.

I have one and they are worth the outlay. I use it for working on the bike/camping/at the beach blah, blah, blah.

They are indeed stools of wonder.

Just as a rough guide, I have a 32” inside leg. The 30” version was comfortable enough when sat on; it was just a little too tall for getting on.

I bought a knock-off phone mount and chucked it in the bin.

Yes, you can buy all sorts of camping chairs and stools, at all sorts of prices, in all sorts of styles. These ones are not cheap but they are very well made, collapse down to roughly half size, expand out with reassuringly firm ‘click’…. And, what’s more…. Unlike some Chinese junk, I’ll remember buying it.

More like you should never admit to beer fuelled expenditure on pointless items.

Camping equipment comes with 2 kinds of mindset;

A. Have a dump in it, walk away and leave the other shite by the wheelie bin.
B. Make considered purchases to last a lifetime, building up a legacy of memories and fondness along the way.

If you don't get it, you will never get it!

But every time I see an inflatable sofa on a campsite, I get a burning desire to take my Spyderco to it - The only hesitation is which of my 8 does the deed.
