In the past, we have had bikes and 4x4s at the pit and I thought that this time we would restrict it just to bikes, but an number of people have asked if they can bring there 4x4s so I have decided to open it up to all.
Bring what you like.

Saturday evening we will be having a BBQ. We will have 2 gas BBQ's, so just bring the meat.
Anyone who just wants to come for the evening will be very wecome and it would be nice to see some new faces.
Any chance of people attending, posting to that affect so I have an idea of numbers?
Me, Mrs Tools, Minitools (Mary on Sunday only) and Mastertools will be there.
Also the Treeman clan.
Looking forward to a great weekend.

As long as my WR is fixed in time there will be myself and up to three other riders (all using my WR)

Living up to being a muppet.......forgot to say we intend coming for the sunday only.
We should open up about 9am but may not get set up for a while but you can ride when you like.
Regarding car parking, there is a long drive which can accomodate quite a few cars no problem and if it's dry, there is a large green field.

Mike, providing its dryish I will be there Sat afternoon in the van and the Scotties will be turning up with the snail. We are planning on staying overnight so we will be bringing bbq stuff etc. I think we will all be setting off home about mid afternoonish Sun.
As normal, don't forget the mustard in my bacon sandwich and two sugars in the tea please

Beeston or Bittering?
Which gravel pit am I heading for- the one shown on the OS map just outside and to the north of Beeston or the big one just off to the east outside bittering (half a mile away)? I guess the Beeston one.

I have posted earlier, a map (in mapsource) of the area with the pit marked.
It is easy to find.
Beeston is 2 miles north of the A47.
Into the village to a T junction just past the Post Office, turn right, turn left then about 400 yards on the left.

Chalky and I went to the pit today to drop off a wood burner (oil drum) that Chalky had customised and a load of wood to make a camp fire.
The pit was wet but not as wet as it was the first time we went there last year.
It has been dry and warm all day today, so I hope it will be OK tomorrow.
Even so, the first 2 time we went there,it was wet and was great fun.
If it is too wet to stay there over night, then there is plenty of room for campers here in my yard.

Awesome day thanks chaps. Ben and Oly were so pleased to pop their off road cherries today. What a great location and thanks to all who helped dig Ben out and tow me up the dodgy double hill.
