Beginners Offroad day, Salisbury Plain

Neil,

Have you got enough 'helpers'? I could probably give a hand, but don't want to get in the way if you have enough.

Cheers

Steve

Good news, been having a word in a few peoples ears - And we may have a Paris dakar/ tunis rally/ pharoahs rally/ racer along to help out :thumb

Now i'm getting all excited :rob

En route meet

Anybody up for meeting at Fleet Services on the M3 0900 - 0915. Should be enough time to get to Countess Services for fuel and coffee before meeting the Master.
Let me know and I will see you there

Sorry, i thought i'd posted the Fleet services meeting time - sent a lot of PM's about it, but it seems i forgot to post it up :confused:

Fleet services on the M3 after junction 4A, outside the entrance to the cafe/restaurant, not the petrol station - - meet at 9.30 am, for a leaving time of 9.45 am -

Planning to be at the Countess meeting point for breakfast @ 930am myself. Any joiners?

off road day

Hello chaps, dead keen to come along, but could do with some advice.

Bike;
Do you recommend taking breakable bits like mirrors, hand guard's, rear seat, etc off? If so which bits?

Me;
I've only got road gear (apart from a Tour-x) and I'm less than keen on scuffing up me expensive Rukka kit. Also road boots only. I'm planning on doing more of this so don't mind buying some gear, but don't know what.
Any advice on this? Is there an actual shop anywhere where I can look at and buy stuff, or is everything done on the interweb these days?
I looked at the BMW Rally boots, which look pretty good, but what about jacket and troos?

thanks

Martin

ps - dunno if I should have posted this elsewhere....

I doubt if you'll even get dirty, let alone fall off or break something. :nenau

I'm up for meeting at Fleet services. Hopefully will have my Gs-riding mate Ian with me who's not been off road before (except accidentally at 90mph at Brands of course :D )

Put me down for this please.
Off road experience, well I parked in a field at Brands yesterday....so complete novice.
