Probably a really daft question, but nevertheless one that springs to mind everytime a stand up on the pegs to stretch my legs ...

I tip the scales at just over 19 stones (I know, who ate all the pies - well, me mostly I guess!) and whenever I stand up I also wonder whether the footpegs/bracket/frame is happy with all of my weight being distributed to such a small point of stress.

Is this an issue, or am I worrying uncessesarily? Is the componentry more than capable to bearing my weight?

Also, fastways pegs or TT or nippy normans. Is anyone able to comment on the pros and cons of each or are they really much of a muchness?

Many thanks (and please try to limit the abuse!)

Only BMW can answer reliably, but since the average modern man weighs something like 13 st and there are as many above this weight as below it, I would be surprised if BMW hadnt designed to cope with your weight.

25 st might be a different matter, so keep off the pies!:D

Thanks birdseye

The pies are a thing of the past!!! But it's taking time.

The foot reßts look quite sturdy and the attachment is in shear so will probably handle anything you and the pies can chuck at them.

as its a off road bike & made to jump & land with the load on the foot pegs cant see a problem :judge

The bike might well have Giant Traillie type styling, but I dont think its really designed to "jump and land". Probably why the new version has ordinary forks, for example.

Every thing that in manufactured with a weight or stress limit is design to take double the amount.

Seen a few pictures with it in mid flight :hapybnce:

If I jump off the top of the stairs you could photograph me in mid flight - but I'm definitely not designed for it!
