Belching smoke !

Mates just serviced his 1100GS new plugs (Brisk) new K&N, new engine oil and filter, replaced gearbox and bevel box oil and fitted new fuel filter. checked valves and balance throttles. Fired it up and its beching black smoke (He also fitted a new clutch) Bike did smoke slightly before and seemed to be heavy on fuel (120 miles to a tank)

Thought that myself, but its brand new from Motoworks.

The bikes got a CAT fitted, dont know if the "shit" is carbon from the honeycomb as the pipe was off and might have been disturbed, or could it be the air temp sender unit ? had that problem on a car, tho it never belched black smoke
