I bought my R90S from a lawyer in Rome early 2020 so most of its life has been in a warm and dry climate.
I managed to get it to me just before Covid hit hard and we were all going into lock-down.
I sent away all the relevant paperwork to DVLA but they still wanted a letter of confirmation from BMW regarding engine and frame numbers.
This took 1 ½ years and I had to join BMWUK to get a contact in BMW Berlin because, just like everybody else, they were working from home and this area of their work was not being undertaken!
I got there eventually but it did take a couple of times until DVLA got it correct.
I’ve just fitted a new battery (it’s a big heavy thing).
The bikini fairing has a surface crack (Italian sun?) on the right hand side . Everything else on her is lovely. The photo of the pannier securing brackets – the small one is the original and they were, originally, not very good and keeping the panniers secured so I made a new pair, slightly longer, out of stainless steel and mirror polished them. Panniers included with keys.
She's in very good condition and runs fine but I haven’t used her much in the last couple of years and that’s a real shame.
Mileage is 87875km.
£10,500 and she's all yours.
