Hi All,

I am thinking of going to Belfast with the family for a couple of nights. Can anyone recommend a hotel reasonably near to the city centre that also has a pool? We need a back up plan for the girls, who are 4 & 7 in case its pissing down.

Many thanks,

Damien

If it's pissing down (and even if it's not) take them to W5 in the Odyssey, even big kids like myself enjoy it :D

Thanks for the quick replies, I had a look at the Holiday Inn, they don't have a family room. So 2 rooms for 3 nights, £814.:eek::eek::eek:

Thanks Jay but we were looking for somewhere with a swimming pool in case of bad weather.

Will look a bit further afield.:beerjug:

No Problem as I said Train station literally 300 metres away thru the historic North Gate of Carrickfergus and you can go over to the W5 in Belfast which Clare said is a brilliant attraction for kids big and small

The recently refurbished state of the art Town leisure centre and swimming pool maybe 500 metres walk away Map Linky Remember you can walk up north street cutting off 200 odd metres Taxi's will pick you up from the door if required and Carrickfergus castle about 100 metres away rotate the streetmap guy 180 degrees and the Dobbins is on the other side of that, tree Carrickfergus castle Wiki

Plus I may be well able to come and help you peruse the Beers Whetherspoons is across the road and have guest ales Although Anne Marie's ability to pull a pint o fthe black stuff is near legendary in Carrick LOL

Ramada Encore is a new hotel in the Cathedral Quarter. I stay in it regularly on nights out as you can normally get it through late rooms for £25-30 and its cheaper than two taxi's.

Check out my home village of Moira 15 minutes (car or train) out of town with nice pubs and restaurants. Glebe house B&B, Moira Guest House or Clenaghans (self catering apartments) are all good.

Premier Inn... Titanic qtr.. No pool but has to be reasonable... And close to the airport, so you'll feel at home :):beerjug:

If its definitively the pool you need then the Ramada Plaza (not Ramada Encore) is the only other hotel in Belfast apart from the Premier Inn that has one. It's still close enough to the city centre that you won't have to travel too far for stuff

+1 :thumb2

Haven't stayed in the Premier Inn @ Titanic Quarter but I'm a Premier fan. The comfiest beds ever IMHO :bounce1:bounce1

If you're feeling really flush this is a lovely spot :D
But probably wasted on the kids.....:augie

I can recommend the Merchant hotel! Stayed in it one night in the friel suit i think it was, beautiful night at a concert in the oddessy and then cocktails back at the hotel until the early hours and only cost less than fifty quid for the pair of us:thumb2:aidan

Then again the hotel was free:rolleyes:
