I had one back inthe 70's / 80's - better than a Griffin Clubman...![]()
No they weren't - the Griffin Clubman HP with leather lining and 2.5mm vented visor was a better lid.

Got a Bell carbon MX-5, has a 3mm think visor. With (it really works) anti-fog/anti-mist/anti-rain coating.

Only issue I've had is the aluminium screw holding visor on fits into a brass threaded screw. Aluminium & brass love to corrode when joined... anyhow might get a visor when mine returns from Italy. Ow & in really heavy rain you have to sip the incoming water, refreshing top tip!
Unbelievably comfy & quite.
That's ace looking
Any UK dealers?

Complete overkill on a Hardley Ableson. Sir needs on of these....

The visor is the best I've ever had on a crash helmet, 3.3mm injection moulded that has no distortion at all
My neck appreciates that it weighs next to nothing too That's ace looking

Back in the '60's Bell was one of the top manufacturers.
I remember always wanting a Bell Star helmet but could never afford one.
They seem to have dropped out of sight for many years but have recently reappeared with the new Bell Star.
