My RT had a service at 3000 miles which included the brake fluid change. The bike then stood over the winter. A few eeks ago it then became apparent that the "jam-jar" brake fluid reservoir had been overfilled and not correctly cleaned up, which over the winter caused the paint on the reservoir cover to melt and fall off. Luckily it had not affected the fairing paintwork. After removing some fluid and cleaning up the area, I rang Benhams to discuss the matter suggesting they provide a new cover. Well, I was shocked to be dismissed out of hand. Even the MD didn't want to know. Moral of the story: check your bike over thoroughly after a service, better still do it correctly yourself once out of warranty. Out of interest, Rainbow were sorry to hear this tale and would have sorted it out immediately.
