Bennetts GS comparison bike review

Interesting in the light of other dyno results which will appear shortly and be somewhat different I suspect

IMO not enough of a gain to trade my 2017 tb in for and I
Bet that would set me back another 7-8k

The top gear roll-on improvement was impressive and I’d like a TFT speedo and cruise control, but it’d cost £8-9k to change my near perfect 2014 model for a new one in the spec I want

I agree I would like a tft ect but think a 2018/19 gsa in a year or two would still do the same job for 6-7 k cheaper

The lovely sales man at bahnstomer told me it would be £7.5k before I have any extras and that seams silly money to me

My Rallye TE 1250 cost me £6k on top of my 17 plate TE Exclusive with 10k miles on it.

4k for me to move from a 18 plate Rallye TE to the 1250 HP TE same bike just the new Engine. Collecting it in March next year:beerjug:

He probably thought shafting you would be enough
It's a shame as that discussion has changed my thoughts on bahnstomer always thought what a great company to do a deal with but hay how many bmw dealers are their in the uk so on to the next one

I would suggest it's not personal.

They know the Salmon are swimming upstream for this new R1250 so they will take the piss, for as long as they can.

Wait for them to go hungry again, and they will change their tune.

Spot on there Borelord ;)

While people wish to upgrade to the mighty shitcam (yes i wanted one as well but quoted 9k plus to upgrade from a 63 plate lc) The 1200 will be less desirable due to an increase of low mileage machines. Its supply and demand. Next year the situation will be worse when the pcp deals come to an end. if you can afford the loss then all is well.

On a positive note there will be cracking sub 3 year old 1200gs for sale if you looking for one

I know but I am 55 and don't want to get to old before my next one :aidan

Just wait until the end of December, and watch them change their tune ;)

All dealers will do the same, as it’ll be the middle of winter, and the end of quarter.
