Hi everyone,

I left my bike on the centrestand at work today, all was well,
until a gust of wind blew it over on to a Blackbird next to it.

The result was a angry Blackbird owner with a dinted tank where my right handlebar had hit it.

On checking out my bar the throttle lever is pushed in towards the switches, and the bar has bent slightly about seven inches from the end. The throtle lever still works fine,

I am going to Princetown on Friday and I am worried my handlebar may break

does anyone know how the throttle/bar end is held on, I would like to fix it before the weekend.

Any info welcome:confused: :)

Cheers Andy

If you have a look on the bars, right next to all the switches and gubbins, you'll see two tangs joined by a small nut and bolt on the underside, that's what's holding the end of your handle bars on.

.

Andy,
don't forget to unplug your heated grip on that side, you will have to chase it under the tank two wires black/brown and feed it through the hole in bars whilst pulling your right hand assembly off.Andy

Hmmm, the bar is stuck, I am going to leave it until after princetown as i dont want to be bikeless (if I bust something!).

See you there!

Come and find me when you get there, or are you going to meet us all at Gordano services, J19ish/ M5 about 1230ish I think.:beerjug:
