Hi Guys,

Been struggling a bit lately with buffeting / wind noise on the bike ( KTM 990 SMT ) tried a few things, Givi screen etc without much luck and just thought as a last resort I would try a "Whisper-strip" on my Shoei XR1100 helmet.

I didn't think it would make a jot of difference tbh and I was convinced I'd be chucking another 22 quid down the drain, but lo and behold, as soon as I got past 40 mph the difference was very noticable :thumb2

I would say its halved the wind "roar" around the neck area, I'm quite surprised how well its worked :clap I believe it will also fit other helmets as it just presses in between the liner and helmet shell.

Only one down side with it :( trying to get your head inside the helmet is like being "born" again, jeez its a bit of a squeeze, but well worth it once you've got your noggin in there.

As far as I'm concerned - Result!!:thumb2

I bought a similar thing a few years back for the Mrs lid, this one went all the way around and she reckoned it made a huge difference both to wind noise and also added some warmth.

About the same price if I remember rightly.
