Hi Yorkies,
I am Henry, some of you may know me , others not.
I'm returning home from working in Mablethorpe on Thurs and have the afternoon to ride the best of Yorkshire whilst setting me up in NW Yorkshire for an overnight stay and a foray into the lakes Friday.
Any must do routes would be good to know.
This is a last minute thing and I don't have my OS maps with me to pour over, hence my asking your advice, I'm not usually this lazy.
This maybe the last chance I get to ride B'hemoth- my beautiful GSA- before going under the knife for my knee replacements so I'd like it to be a good un.

I remember FUNNERS used to be active on the forum. If you are about mate and fancy an afternoons play- road primarily Anakee IIIs and trashed knees fitted - give me a PM. And anyone else.
I leave Mablethorpe @ 12.30

A decent budget b&b would be nice too😉

Guy will be at work and hardly comes on here. I'm off Thursday tho and will happily meet up and guide you through some of the better bits.

The Reevesby to Wragby road is pretty good then up to market raisen and then to Brandy Wharfe. Head to Gainsboro then Doncaster before heading over through the dales to NW

My suggestion only

AdamA,
Leaving Mablethorpe At 12.30 and unless told otherwise heading for Skipton.
Any budget digs for a night around Sedbergh would be good- though may have tent on board

What's your budget? If you fancy splashing out, head towards Ripon then take the A684 towards Hawes, stopping overnight at the Wensleydale Heiffer at West Witton. Fantastic food, and you're on one of the best roads in the county, with plenty more off leading off it, including the Hawes > Ingleton road and Buttertubs pass....or just follow it to the Lakes.

Edit - just seen the budget digs bit. Route still stands, just look for a cheaper B&B/Pub!

If you've got plenty of time, over the Humber bridge (free!) through the wolds to Helmsley then hang a left through Thirsk. Gods country.
