I wear glasses and have trouble with them misting up.

Can anybody recommend an anti-fog product, that really works ?

Thanks

Andy

I've worn glasses for years, if you find anything that works for more than twenty minutes.... let me know...:D

I have a cotton cloth which is impregnated with something they use for MotoX goggles, seems to work on visor OK so may work on glasses :nenau

Ice hokcey players use shampoo... wipe on a bit onto dry lenses with your fingers... wipe off with a towel or something. Usually lasts for a few games on visors so glasses should be okay.

Use Bob Heath Anti-fogging spray. Have been using it for years and I find it is the best solution on the market. far better than fairy liquid/shampoo.

Don't see too many ice hockey players wearing glasses !! :D I suspect you don't actually wear glasses, do you ?

Visors are different to glasses in that they sit much closer to the face (obvious really ...) . They tend to mist up due as much due to body heat in cold air than breath condensing on the inside like with a visor. Same principles but much harder to get rid of.

As a lifelong glasses wearer I've never found anything that really works well in all conditions. I use contacts in winter or crack the visor a little.

as someone has already commented, if you find something, please spread the word.

+1 very good. The small spray bottle lasts forever.

No glasses here... and I've only known one who needed glasses... but he didn't wear them either. Ever get punched in the face wearing glasses... I suspect it's not too much fun!

I suppose there is a difference... but trying the shampoo trick is free....and smells a lot better than fairy liquid!

Now I've never tried this, but cut a potato in half and rub that over the lenses, you may look like a tw@t, but hey, if no fogging.... :-) - let me know if it works :thumb

I heard that the ant-scratch coating on lens means that nothing works..........at least I have not found anything.

Potato trick just leaves a starchy mess which can't see through - Tried this on the screen once and only once.

Pinlock works well.

As a glasses wearer too, I quite understand the problem. I clean my glasses each morn with fairy liquid. Just smear on with fingers then let running tap remove it. Keeps them clean and sparkling. They do steam up but as long as you don't touch them, clear quite quickly.

Just my view.....

my mate solved this problem easily, he didn't wear them! I didnt realise his sight was so poor until i was following him accross Greece and he was leading, it occured to me when i noticed how close he had to get to a sign before indicating or accelerating to next junction:eek:

I found the best solution to steamed up glasses was laser eye surgury :thumb

+2 :thumb:thumb

Although I haven't used it on glasses, if used on a visor, it easily lasts all day (or even all week). I've even used it on the bathroom mirror.
