Choose a route, click on GPX file to download it to your pc. Open in Mapsource or Basecamp. send to device as normal. :blagblah

You say "open in Mapsource or Basecamp". In the past I have struggled with people using "loose" terminology and I have floundered as a result. So, at the risk of being called a pedant.......

I have Basecamp running on my Mac and what you actually need to do is:
* go to the "File" drop down menu at the top of the screen.
* 4th item down is "Import". Click on this
* then browse to where you have saved the downloaded route from Best Biking Roads and select that file

Having loaded the route into Basecamp, you need to make sure that Basecamp is using the latest map version and the same as on your Zumo. So check which map version is "checked" in the Map drop down menu.

Having done that, then select the route in the screen on the left and "recalculate" the route , as it is unlikely to have been created in the same maop version as you are using.

Then, have a look at the route and check that it has not got corrupted or any obvious flaws in it. If you are happy with the route you...

Connect your Zumo

Then go to the "Transfer" drop down menu and click on "Send ****** to device" and the route is transferred to your Zumo

Hope that helps

When you click on the downloaded file it only opens in Mapsource or Basecamp. Select no to recalculation request and it wont change, this is on a pc or a Mac.
