Time to replace my current HJC flip front helmet and wanted one that I can clamp my Sena SMH10 to without resulting to having to use sticky pads.
Trouble is, most brands seem to have really thick plastic on the base, preventing me getting a clamp fitted.
Does anyone know what flip front helmet would be suitable, as I don't really want to order 50 different ones from Sportsbikeshop in the hope one will fit.
I ordered a Nolan N100-6 which fits quite well but has a base about an inch thick so wouldn't be able to get the Sena on.

Any thoughts on selling the Sena unit and buying an integrated comms with helmet?

I have the Neotec 3 which is great but the first priority is fit and there are so many lids out there. It’s all personal

I use the integrated sena mesh unit on my neo 2 lid. On my FF shark spartan, I've the Interphone Ucom 16 and it clips neatly to the lid without sticky pads. It's basically the same software and processor as the Sena Mesh unit.

I have a Neotec 3 and apparently it has the wherewithal to connect comms. I have no use for comms but it is a very good helmet. The fitting service from sportsbikeshop in Leeds was excellent.

I have a Senna and the Mrs the U-Com16, as stated they run the same OS etc and work exactly the same.

With the U16 the unit is very small as the battery stick on the back of the helmet, so the bit on the side is very slim, the only benefit I found with the Senna I have was noticeably better audio on with the Harmon Kardon speakers vs the U-Com own brand "HD" speakers, but if you don't listen to music I would say the U-Com is the better of the two due to the smaller side footprint, and IIRC you can get a large battery option, but even with music playing it will easily last a days riding on the standard battery unless you are doing an Iron but marathon.

I just went with the stick-on method in the end, rather have a great helmet and stick the headset on, than buy a less than optimal helmet because it means I can use a clamp. I am using a Neotec 2 and the Senna 50R fitted OK, and is less sticky out than the 50S, but cannot be removed for charging, but I can live with that - prefer not to have integrated as I can move the comms unit to another another helmet one day.

Thanks for the replies, guys. I don't want to splash out on a new intercom as I've got mine and another as a spare that my wife had on hers (she's given up now).
Can't get a Shoei to fit despite trying different cheek pads etc. I must have a long face, as most helmets don't come down far enough cover my chin 🙄
If I go down the sticky route, what adhesive do you recommend?

There are companies that make adaptors for intercoms to various helmets.

I have one from Tubs Jackson for my Cardo on a Shoei Neotec 2.

It clips in to an existing plastic recess on the side of the helmet so no adhesive needed and keeps the unit slightly closer in to the helmet.

3M double sided self adhesive tape would be ideal
