Best intercom?

Prob not the ideal forum to post this but am just wondering whats the best intercom available? Possibly with bluetooth and ipod connectivity???

Im on a scala G4 with bluetooth and Garmin 660. Altogether fantastic bit of kit.
Plays all your music, answer the phone and talk to the misses(or not).
Expensive but good

I have an autocom, which will do all you want of it, though does require plug in bits depending on your requirements. I run mine with music, bike-to-bike radio, pillion comms and phone. All using wires not bluetooth, as then the batteries never go flat...

dont go with wires, pain in the h@le, everytime you get off, or on, you have to deal with wires. i have scala Q2 and perfect for bike to bike, radio, satnav, mp3, mobile, etc. if you have the money, get the G4

I unplug one wire on mine... that attaches my helmet to the system... takes all of 3 seconds. No big trouble... surely its a bigger pain in the arse to change these bluetooth things up all the time?!

i have the scala and don't like it, bought it because i was getting it cheap and wanted something there and then for a trip with the wife to england last year.

hate having to charge it and don't like the look of it on the side of the helmet, when i get my new bike Il be using an autocom/starcom unit wired to the bike.

Like Canuck says, unplug one wire on mine... that attaches my helmet to the system... takes all of 3 seconds. No big trouble...

I bought a Scala Rider G4 a few months ago to use bike to bike with the wife. Overall it's an excellent bit of kit although it does have a couple of foibles. Sometimes it won't connect to her unit though this is rare and a simple turn off and then back on sorts it. The reception on the built in radio is a little poor but I tend to play music through my mobile phone and this works brilliantly. Mobile phone calls are clear and most people I speak to can't beleive I'm riding my bike as the call is so good.
Got a big trip to the Alps in 3 weeks, wife on the back of my bike, and my mate will be on his bike also with his wife on the back. They've also got G4s so we will be able to set up 4 way conversation. Great for communicating when one of us needs to stop for petrol, coffee, leg stretch, toilet break etc.

The SENA SMH10 is coming out one of the best on the market now, stereo, MP3 socket, waterproof, easy to use, they really are great kit and excellent bike to bike.

Have looked at them all and quite like the SENA setup but at $399 for the dual pack seems a bit steep???

Comms is a dark art. Went through 4 Scalas. Two died. One picked up Russian radio. I can't remember what the fourth did. Went for Starcom which is good but the connectors are crap. Tried Intaride radios which fell short with lots of interference. Ended up with the Kenwoods which work a treat. 16 hour battery so no need to bike power them.

Love our pair of Sena headsets. Work a treat, didn't packup when piss wet through. Battery lasts all day doing bike to bike, coming back from Scotland we did 11 hours with the bike to bike intercom open all the way.
