i use a uvex wing rs.
250 quid, comes with two visors. one is tinted and the other is a double screen anti fog. not misted up once all winter - daily commuting. very light, comfy, quiet and different. you dont see many around in this country but loads of people were wearing them in austria and germany recently. only complaint is that the visor feels stiff to open but a bit of silicone did the trick.

I met up with Ralphy on Sundy. He has a spanky new Schuberth Concept and his comments on noise convinced me not to buy one.
I went out today and bought the BMW SportIntegral. I have never been so impressed with a helmet. It is a really nice fit, is quiet, is mist free and the visor has a nice secure just-cracked-open position for extra ventilation.

Dayglo jacket safely stored in me garage; pity really, as that rain was doing a good job of getting through my 'All Seasons' jacket & the 'derrick' would have kept a lot off me!

You missed a good run around last Sunday with Mike B & me; Minehead/Lynton/Lynmouth/Exford/Taunton - excellent! Where were you?!
Just spoke to Mike B back at Heathrow, back to States until weekend.

I have just sold My Trusty BMW System 2, I'm 6'2 and did'nt have a buffeting or noise problem (I am half and a bit deaf) the new one is second mortgage System 4 Elite Carbon/Kevlar thing, I'll keep you posted as to WAS IT WORTH IT?

I've got one of those flip up roof boxers and think it's the puppy's privates. Full face on nasty days open face when the weather picks up or in towns/at garages etc. With the chin part just sitting above eye level it also seems to do a great job of deflecting the treaded turbulance from the top of my head, oh yeah and it keeps the sun out of your eyes....Recommended.

I use a Roof Boxer for local stuff in the summer. It is incredibly noisy, hopeless in the rain (it runs down the inside of the iridium visor) and the strap works loose. It is still my favourite helmet .
I also have an X-lite X901 full face that is very quiet,has double glazing so doesn't mist up and a good vent system. My only gripe is that the padding around my ample cheeks is a little tight. Otherwise I am very happy with it.

Roof Daytona's are excellent and very quiet but I've sinced moved to a flip up Shoei Synchrotech because Im a specky twat and it accomodates my glasses better!

Den , Have you got anymore information, I tried one of those helmets on in France, (it was Blue and a Police motorcyclist)He didn't think they were available to buy......have you got the manufacturers address inside , and the model number ??...any help would be appreciated.....must have one !!Den said:

Dont get too excited over this lid, its not the best piece of kit but it is certainly rather................. unusual
Den, have you worn it in summer yet--- you'll find that all the insects on your visor get trapped inside the helmet, and every time you put it up clean, when you flip it down it'll be covered again. Porsche made a lovely lid back in the early eighties where the visor retracted into the helmet, they withdrew it because of the above problems--

I use a Lazer Revolution. I like the internal dark visor (although it does get a little grubby in a line right down the centre if riding with it up in the rain), but I find it pretty noisy. You cannot have the dark visor down and the clear visor up so the dark visor is always protected from bugs etc except for the instance mentioned above.

I use a bmw evo 4
Its light pretty quite and for about 30 quid
you can turn it into an off road lid

Podger, I had a good look at one of these helmets at a bike shop in Calais last year.
I can honestly say it was one of the worst built pieces of shit I've ever seen.
The 'retractor' mechanism for the chin piece was awkward and sloppy, the catches were flimsy (of 3 helmets in the shop, all had at least one broken catch) and the lock that secures the two halves of trhe chin piece together was loose, allowing the whole thing to rattle.
There is no way I'd trust the safety of my bonce to anything which exuded the level of general crappiness that the GPA did...
