Could anyone advise which is the very best light bar to fit on my gs12?
Something strong and cosmetic, thanks.

What Big Lee said up there. Had a MiGSel lightbar on the 1100 and waiting for the 1150 version to turn up to let me replace the BWM foglights. Didn't even think of an alternative option.

MiGSel's lightbars are, for what is fundamentally a lump of metal, functional, robust and beautifully produced bits of kit.

I've had Migsel and just fitted NN's

Cosmetically, Migsel's is waaaaaay nicer looking.

Practically, I prefer the NN as it vibrates a little less and is a bit more substantial - cos I do use it off road.

Both are very fine pieces of kit, so choosing either will be a good choice.

How about for a 12GSA?

How bad is the vibration on the Migsel bar?

Not noticable looking at the light pattern but if you look down at the lights you can see them doing a jig. Never had any problems though with bulbs so can't be that bad.

Like he said, never had any probs with it at all - a very fine piece of kit. I only got a NN cos it was theright price - would be happy bolting either to my bike. Not sure about how they fit on 1200's though .

Well if its anything like the R1150 GS light bar, there is only one worth considering; the TerraNova Light Bar (scroll down the page).

There is none more solid, none more vibration free (it doesn't vibrate...period, no matter how big a light you decide to mount) and none better thought out. Fit and finish are first rate as well. About £80 plus shipping.

The nice thing about it is that you only drill the hole that you need to mount your lights (templates are supplied) and you're not left with a bunch of pre-drilled holes that you don't need as on some other bars.

Here is a thread on ADVRider discussing the TerraNova R1200 GS Light Bar.

Mush!
It's been so long. How are you? I'm still working at that vauxhall dealership, constantly looking for that perfect job, Does it really exsist? I think not. Diana sends her love, will be in touch soon. Us.
Are you on messenger? Text me.

Migsel..

Well I dont know about the 1200, but the for the 1150, Migsel bars are the way i would go..

Mine survived this..

And a lot of other falls, if your bar is too rigid, likley it will snap its mountings. I would rather have the light bar bend a bit. The migsel one looks good and does an excellent job, the fog light was pushed out of place, but Timolga just straightened it there and then once the bike was upright..

If Migsel's 1200 bar is as good.. get one.

Migsel: reasonable price for a quality product, functional, good mount options and doesn't look out of place. Got one and well 'appy.
