Best Panniers with stock exhaust?

Tried the system ones and didnt like them that much, plus my son wants to go camping on the GS next easter, so I need to save up for an alternative.

Any ideas? alu would be best, but I'm not precious about it.

If the bulk/angle of the stock zorst is a real problem, I'd look into alternatives of course, but I have to very budget-conscious.

Touratw@t Zega Specials, expensive new but look out for a second-hand set. Retain original exhaust but channel the gasses out beyond the case with an extension tube which is bolted to the pannier frame only, so no mod's required to standard can. 41 & 41ish litres and are symmetrical from the rear:

essjay reccomended them on the IBA site, but aren't they like £700-£800? I like the look of the stahls (and they are UK made), but in my budget they would still take 5-6 months of saving; which is kinda what I anticipated, as I'll need them in April 2011. Nothing like planning head!!

the thing is its two questions.... which are best and which are best at a set price...
1) best are Verns IMHO... new price inc rails is cheaper than TT but knock the arse of them for quality
2) best are Verns.... look at resale value or look at how many had TT or others and now have Verns

I had TT and now Vern's Worlbeaters, Vern's feel half the weight but so much stronger than TT

I have to say I have verns worldbeaters, and my wife has stalkoffer's there are advantages and disadvantages to both.
Mine bigger and hinged lid, build quality is by far and away the best there is.
Hers quickly detachable with a nice accessory to make table between the two panniers, the bigger one will easily take a full face crash helmet, where I can just squeeze mine in but a full face no way, you pays your money you takes your choice.
I would not change mine for the world but then again neither would my missus.

Both sets are top notch and hands down beat the TT ones.

There was a metal mule pannier on the side of the M53 a couple of weeks ago,I'll have a look and see if it's still there tomorrow.
