Hi folks, I just got a new smart phone and am interested in the concensus on best photo sharing site eg Flicker or Photobucket etc? Many thanks in anticipation.:beerjug::beerjug:

I'm on flicr and photobucket
Both have apps I find photobucket easiest

I use Picassa. It is a Google app and is free and I find it quite easy to use.

Haven't tried it witha phone yet though

picasaweb.
easy to use / bit slow / can only upload 5 pics at a time
handy for captions and comments.

am curious about this photobucket thing.

useful thread. :) :thumb2

I have noticed most (all?) of the free sites only seem to allow a max size of 800 x 600 or 1024 x 768 when you upload them for linking. Any sites allow full size pics for free?

It's irritating - you need to log into your gmail account using browser to view photo albums but it will only show you the most recent 20 for a bizarre reason. Unless I'm doing it wrong. Having said that........

You can upload full size photos. you chose the file size every time.

You get 1gb free and 20 gb extra for $5 per year. :thumb2

I use both as well, and they both can be updated from within iPhoto (you need to install a Photobucket plugin for its export). Used the Photobucket iPad app for updating some photos while on holiday and it worked fine.

Was getting so many views of some stuff on photobucket that I exceeded bandwidth so have upgraded to Photobucket Pro. Easy to upload full res photos to and have used it for a couple of jobs I have done for friends. Edited the best shots and uploaded full res and leave it to them what they want to do with the photos. Saves messing about emailing, or putting the photos on CD or USB stick to pass on. Easy to link to albums or individual photos. Can upload video as well, though not done that yet.

Check out the following for a review of photo sharing sites. Photobucket comes out number one
