Best price (cheapest) Ohlins / Wilbers??

Has anyone had any recent experience of buying a new set of either of the above and where were they acquired from?

Looks as if I will have to bite the bullet and buy a new set if I cant pursued some nice person here to part with theirs...

Mate, I got mine from revs racing - it`s your choice of course but they were relly good lads, care for what they do and you could do a lot worse.

Cost me about £1200 to lower my GSA by 40mm.

But didn`t you want to go back to OEM in another post................?

Or am I alking sh*te again

I`ve got the OEM shocks and springs which I`d gladly flog ya cheaply but I might need them if having both feet on the ground starts to piss me off..............

Thanks for the info there Mark; I shall give them a call tomorrow.

I still have the originals but will resist putting them back on and try to get the correct pair of Wilburs / Ohlins instead.

I bought the Wilbers last year and never got around to fitting them until yesterday. My main reason to go for them wasnt to lower the bike but to simply improve the handling; however its too low now and doesnt look right. The GSA now sits lower then my Mamola BCR.

Its my own fault and I should have done my home-work properly prior to getting them.

Don`t beat yourself up over it mate - it`s a hard call.

With hindsight I still would have had mine lowered but mebbe not as much.........

I would expect the seller to make it clear what they were selling TBH. If you had no reason to believe you were getting anything other than normal length GSA shocks it's hardly your fault.

I bought mine from MCT as I have used them before and wanted a ride-in / ride-out service with personal setup.

I guess if it is mail order then it don't matter so much.
