Best Price fo a new GS1200

Had a test ride yesterday of one and was really impressed. Even had the wife on the back and didn't really notice that she was there.
No matter how hard we tried to put ourselves off after the test ride it's clear that we now need a 1200GS.
Worst thing is the PRICE! There seems to have been a few threads on people getting discounts.
I'm looking for an ABS model, heated grips and full luggage - what's the best price to date anyone has paid for one and where?

It's not the policy of BWM to offer discounts.

If you want discounts are you prepared to accept the horrendous depreciation that goes with em?

" It's not the policy of BWM to offer discounts. " BMW dont like their dealers doing it, but any attempt to control their dealers would be resale price maintenance and therefore seriously illegal. Form of price fixing.

I suspect that supply volume is controlled to make sure there isnt an excess that leads to price cutting. So as far as I have heard, you might get a pair of free boots, or an inflated part ex price or something similar amounting to a hundred or two, but you wont get Jap bike level discounts anywhere.

So best buy might be a few month old second hand. With all these fashion conscious new to BM buyers, there's bound to be someone who changes his mind / overstretches himself and has to sell up.
