Not sure how it compares to any others though !

A picture and some details of the Aldi GPS have been posted in the bargain forum. I too am interested to know if it looks any good (i know diddley squat about GPS). How does it compare with regard to features and price with some of the more favoured systems? The manufacturer is Medion.

You need to check out how waterproof and vibration resistant the Aldi one is. I've not looked at it but would suspect its not waterproof . For decent online prices checkout Sportextreme.com? an aspid.com? I bought a Garmin GPS from one an a Nav kit from t'other. both shipped within 5 days of order.

Just ordered a 2610 off of Amazon. Firstly price, secondly price protection (if better price found elsewhere, thirdly availability with a dispatch within 24 hours.

I had previously ordered from another supplier who after two days and a prompt from me told me that they couldnt supply for a couple of weeks.

which gps??

Thanks for the comments, the more I look into the question of gps, the more it seems to me that memory capacity is crucial as what seemed a good system swiflty gets left behind if it cannot be upgraded for new mapping due to shortfall of memory. will look at amazon...

Maplins MK are still doing the 2610 for GBP 550 despite advertising it for GBP650, must be worth a ring?
