Hi folks, I'm new on here having only just got my first GS. Did a long trip on it last weekend, and think I need a comfier seat. There's probably already a thread on it but couldn't find one, just after recommendations on most comfortable seat alternative to the OE seat?
Thanks

On my F800GS I had and really liked a Corbin, on my K1300 I had a Sargent which was good but not as good as the Corbin.

I liked the Sargent when i had one on my 2010 twin cam. on the new watercooled i am ok with the standard seat, although the sargent is shaped like a massey ferguson seat. (arsed shape!)

Thanks, I've noticed the Sargent on Nippy Normans today.

If you can find someone close enough, try sitting on one before you buy. I'd buy a Corbin tomorrow but possibly only a Sargent if a cheapish used one came up.

I got a Sargeant seat for my lc 1200gs which is a huge improvement on the standard seat. Found the standard seat agony after a long ride. The Sargeant seat is much firmer and comfier. It is quite wide though so much so that I've had to lower my seat so I can put both feet flat on the ground. Overall very happy with mine and the bike is now genuine all day comfortable. :)

I went Sargent low to touratech comfort to Sargent standard which I now love.
The Sargent low was just plain rubbish as it was like a plank of wood and dug in my legs.
The touratech were great but I had to have it set very flat or it hurt my coxyx but then pulled my arms out of the sockets on reach.
The Sargent standard are a great seat with all day comfort

Great thanks, will have a look at that.

Has anyone tried the Touratech comfort seat? I haven't purchased yet, still investigating!
