OK I am pissed off with apainfull ass (from riding the bike :spitfire)

So tomorrow I am going to buy a new seat, question is, which is the better manufacturer of such things.

I have seen alot about Sargent seats on here, but what about the other makes. Which is best?

Ive got a sargent, a wunderlich ergo low and a motorworks.
I also bought a sheepskin from Alaska leather.
Best quality is sargent
Best comfort is wunderlich.....just
Motorworks is basic but good value at £80 for a conversion of your standard GS plank.
Put the sheep on for long distance but its a pain if it rains
Woooody

Sargeant for me - Expensive but worth it :thumb

I couldn't agree more. I've had a TT Kahedo and a Wunderlich ergo but the Sargent wins hands down!

If you can afford one just do it. You'll only end up with one in the end!

Woody, long shot but are you woody the old evicted (flying boot) fame.
If not no problems.

Arse

I recently had a tragic wheelbarrow accident.... fell backwards onto a pointy rock right on my coccyx. Riding for long periods can be an absolute killer and I'm going to try and get cortisone injections before a long trip but will also try a new saddle if there is a huge difference between an 08 GSA and this Sargent that is so highly regarded here. Is it going to be worth the money?

Air Hawk

i use an alaskan seat for first 2 hours
then a med crusier air hawk after that
then i can ride all day with no probs :thumb2

just had my seat (12 gsa ) modified by saxon seats in christchurch. orig was to tall plus pushed me onto tank. had same prob with my old 12gs.
the good thing is they will custom fit it to you, and what you want! i had gell pad fitted and the seat lowered, and kept orig cover. cost was £100 excellent service and the seat is so comfortable now.
cheers

Hi Pie man,

Like Jonny B just had my Adventure seat modified. Half inch wider at the front/sides, gel pad inserted etc and put the front bit on the higher setting but back still on lower setting.

Did try above settings before modification but not a lot of joy. Its only a personal thing but I think the GS seat pushes ya forward, stand back have a look :nenau

Anyway early doors but feels so different and more comfy, like screens its a very personal thing re :mcgun seats!

My mod done by Tony Archer Huddersfield 01484 536832 and the best bit :nenau £60 all in!

i bought an airhawk medium cruiser, only recieved it today but it is more comfortable than the standard seat - you can get them on US ebay but watch out for import duty- also helps to have the seat on the low setting at the rear and forward on high- the seat is much flatter otherwise its pushing you towards the tank all the time.

i use a touratech seat and i'm good for 300+ miles a day.......

First tried to live with the stock seat (pain is not a rush), then got a Sargent, which also produced pain, then lowered the foot pegs, helped but not much, then just for the fun of it I put the stock seat back on (and sold the Sargent) - bliss, got my self an AirHawk yesterday...

Try to lower the pegs, it might be what you need (enjoy adjusting the gear leaver:augie).
