Best source of service parts?

Am I restricted to the dealers or is there a Yamaha equivalent of Motorworks etc.?

Anyone use any aftermarket parts such as brake pads? The Ferodo's I used on the 1150GS were brilliant and a good deal cheaper than the BMW ones but S10's aren't as numerous as GS's, are there parts around?

I also buy many OE parts from my local independent bike dealer, no longer holds any Jap franchises but gets me parts for our Yamaha and Suzuki's no problem.

As for Brake Pads, a full set (front and rear) for well known aftermarket brands was about £75, the Yamaha ones were £105 - and as they work really well and have lasted ages (past 20k now) I was happy to pay the extra £30.

I too dodged BMW prices when I had the GS, IIRC about £55 a pair as opposed to Yamaha's £35 or EBC (etc) at £25.
