(you can even have a US10 with a pair of US5s on, or a US10 with a US5 on top....you could even put a US20 plus any other combo on, but after a US10 I then switch to loading up on the rear)

Totally waterproof, totally secure, two pinch clips to get to fuel cap, 4 to remove.
Squash down to nothing when empty, several pockets to use, washable removable inner liner.

Last pic for you. This is two bike mags in the map pocket. Its tight around the edges, so no hardback A4 maps. A quick measure shows it will accomodate 15mm thick A4 maps.

I've a baglux combo and I like it but both the bags I've have set the horn off on. Full lock. The one you have looks like it's narrow in the right places. A bit like girls.

Thanks SoB, no, it doesnt set the horn off. Have you tried adjusting the front straps on the bag? Might give you a little more room, its what I did on my old baglux.

Thanks for the info FatnFast. These are the tank bag versions i was thinking of. And you have really helped with your feedack.

I think i'm with JonnyBoxer on this and my mind is made up too. I don't need a large bag, just for odds and sods like phone, cash, cards, camera change of gloves. I'm interested in the powered version, this could be very useful indeed.

I have a spare cover with busted clips, so may try this at some stage.

On another note, whilst rummiging in the attic I found my 1100rt's genuine tank bag. The map cover has no chance of holding an A4 map.


And a last shot from the other day of the clip on bag fitted to my gs .


I had the baglux for many years mainly to protect the tank but finally figured its like putting seat covers on your car seats. Your just protecting it for future owners really and I never get to appreciate the paintwork

I've used the baglug for ages on various bikes and I think they're essentially old tech nowdays. Mine do get a good beasting but the plastic hooks on the cover snap, those cheap s*ity push clips fall to pieces and frequently come unattached from the vinyl (it only takes a bit of a push. And picking up the bike it's easy to pull the clip off as you lift), plus they stop being 'positive' after a while and so the bag slides about. If you use them a lot, especially with weight in they quickly get floppy and tend to hang over one or the other side of the bike (and press the horn on lock). 4 fixings, two of which you keep needing to adjust to keep tight, and 2 of which are cheap and rubbish means the bag doesn't feel tight. The map pocket is a PITA too - too small and tight meaning the maps get ripped.

I've been through a few (the sunshine destroyed the map pocket plastic and it went stiff and fell out) and I won't be buying another one

I'll concur with a fair bit of that. I do like the bag attachments that baglux employs but, construction-wise, i don't think they're that great. I'm intending to use mine as a tank protector and use it in conjunction with one of those ring attachment bags. The map pocket on those looks the business.
