UK again Pah!..
My neck/back/shoulders are shot and right now my view is the 450X is really not helping so I have a dilemma, I want to get as much fun as possible out of the bike but get rid before I can no longer get out of the bath on my own :(

So when is the best time to get rid of a 450 in factory colours and never been dropped? Is it now, the end of this year or maybe March 2009?

So very soon......................you suprise me

However when i rode one for an hour, I too thought.............I couldn't live with this (except on an enduro course)

Sh1t, what a shame. Really sorry you are gonna have to get shot :(

Personally I'd have thought Spring would be best but I'm probably not the best person to ask when it comes to buying and selling bikes :mmmm

Now, enduro season aint summer time......
And the best trail riding is done now too, whilst most of the rambliars aren't about.
Get it advertised...........

It is a great bike, really good fun and very hard to fault. It is around 25 hours now so I know what to expect and it mostly does as I ask.

I am looking forward to a good thrash around the island at the end of the month, the Cooper rack is nailed to the back of the car and all I need do is pack a large handful of super strong Ipobrufen and some red wine for the evenings, the problem is I soo hurt after a ride on it. I am really gutted, at 51 years old I expect a lot more from my body :(

Even bigger problem now is if it goes what do I replace it with :nenau

X Challange - maybe we should do a swap trail ride

Try backing all the suspension off, like back to zero damping and wind is it to the softest position.
The damping is set from factory way to hard.
I did struggle at first with my 450X but a little tweeking has brought it in to my riding requirements. I've just checked the front comp and it's only 3 clicks in. Nice and soft.
The rear preload has ben reduced so the spring is now just tight in the collets, but not rattling loose. It's a lot better for me that way.

And true enough, wtf do you replace it with...... it will be heavier if not a 2T.

A nice , 'soft n comfy' DRZ complete with extra 17" wheels for hill climbing :green gri

I might even bung you a bit of cash too ...................

Hehe - does this get me out of the Duct tape and Tiewrap sponsorship deal as well?

timpo: front compresion 3 kliks????
thats from the other end counting??

stock is has 10 kliks
bmw says cross 8 kliks
enduro 24 kliks

turm clockwise and then turn back if i am not mistaken

ovenpa why!!!!

try to tide smoother or get youre body in shape, the bike is perfect for the thing it was made for,
enduro trail riding etc..
