Hi,

I've just shod my R1150GS Adv in Michelin Anakees, having had Tourances on before. I'm not all that happy with them so far, it feels like their white lining all the time. I initially had the front at 36psi and the rear at 41. I've since upped the pressure in an attempt to make the side walls stiffer, front probably 39ish and rear 44. Has anyone else experienced this with Anakees? Maybe I just need to lose some weight.... what pressures do you guys run your tyres at? I've also just put a Givi Top box on the bike, this could be having a negative effect on the handling?

Cheers,

Ed

I love my Anakees. Had 2 sets of Tourances which were bad. Finally switched to the Anakees and have anything but problems. Great grip and a better "feel" when riding in the twisties.

I' ve got the same pressure as the tourances.

I just read in the BMW BIKES magazine, in an article about touring, to run yer tyres at the tyre manufacturers maximum recommended pressures when loaded and pillioned, and to ignore advised pressures in the manual.
Wotsyer thoughts on that folks ?

I think the Anakees are great....but have never experienced Tourance. I've been running the Anakess on 36(r) & 32(f) which is manufacturer's recommendation. These presssures feel good. This is on a 12GS by the way.

32(f) 36(r) 1500 miles,no problem,great grip wet or dry,town motorway and especially twisty roads.15 1/2 stone solo.Giant taillie to giant supermotard after the TKC's.
