Best tyre prices & balancing in the Republic?

Hi All,

What's the latest for best tyre deals to be had down south?

I'm looking for a pair of Metzeler Tourances for R1200GS - not the EXP but the regular street enduro tyre.

I'm in Co.Clare and it wouldn't pay me to ride to the North although I know I can get a pair delivered from the visor shop up North for €197 - then its not every dealer down here that has the adaptor to balance that rear wheel. Any recommendations or am I stuck with the regular Dublin/Cork BMW outlets?

Pat Coyne in Deepark Industrial Park Oranmore, not a million miles from you in County Clare has all the equipment to fit and balance BMW tires he has done fronts and rear for me. If I recall correctly he charges around 10 bucks a wheel if you bring in the wheels, obviously off the bike!

Many others will safely fit a rear without necessarily balancing it.
