Something like a double sided sticky pad I guess...

And any ideas on any clips to hold the cable tight?

(It's the standard Garmin one, for a 2610 or 2820)

Dude, what is the size of it, and has it a flat side?
I've got a pad here that comes in the Oxford heated grip kits for sticking the controller.

Do you want this sticky pad then?
Or, if you know any windscreen fitters, they have pads for bonding rear view mirrors to new windscreens..... they are very good bonding agents.

The Oxford sticky pads are RUBBISH- I fitted Oxford heated grips to the wife's Royal Enfield and they behaved like postit note adhesive...

Fell back to 3m dual lock tape instead. Much better!

3m clicky sticky pad :thumb2

I used some heavy duty velcro, from B&Q. The glue on the back of the velcro has survived for two years now, and I swap the antenna from one bike to the other.

i found the antennas work best stuck on top of the master cylinder.

Try Dual Lock, I use it to secure quite a bit of stuff around the bike. It's a cross between Velcro and Stickle Bricks and is very secure.

My 2610 works very well on my 80/100GS
I have mounted the gps above the clock/speedo mind :thumb2
