Best way to get the glue residue off wheels left by weights?

That's it really, what is the best way to get the glue left on your wheels after they remove the weights ofr re-balancing?

I tend to use WD40 but it isn't a quick way of doing it, the wheels are 1150GSA blue anodised.
 
Roll it off with your fingers as best you can, then tar and glue remover should take care of what remains.
 
Nail varnish remover. But apply to a tiny test area to make sure it doesn't have an adverse reaction.

I'm pretty sure it will be ok.

This isn't the gay 1200 WC section y'know, use brake cleaner solvent like a man :weights
 
The next door neighbour wanted to get the glue off his tailgate left by an old GB sticker and I used cellulose thinners which removed it very easily so I'd suggest use a glue and tar remover like Tardis first and if that doesn't work try cellulose thinners
