Stan.

That is exactly what I am gonna do! Been kicking the idea round for a while. Finally decided to get off my teacake and give it a go. I definately need to do some work on my riding technique. Maybe see you there.

Just done my second IAM classroom session last night and first observed ride to come on Sat. Always had something else going on which interferred with getting off my arse any signing up. A bit apprehensive as I know I have a lot of improvements in my riding style to make.
It's survival of the fittest and defensive riding is a must with all the mobile phone using, redlight jumping, inconsiderate and dangerous drivers out there.

Good preparation ...

... is to read the book :thumb2 Well worth the money and should be on the bookshelf of any discerning motorcyclist :rob

I read this book twice a year and I still feel as though I've got loads to learn after 23 years of biking

By the pic on your avatar it looks like it :D :D

Seriously though to anyone thinking of doing the IAM - DO IT you'll be better, safer & enjoy your biking more. If your a tin box user as well also do the car test - ditto to the above.

Yet to do a training course with Micky but heard only good reports - and boy can that man ride :bow - went to the Nurburgring with him a couple of years back, on near enough the same spec GS' - he was out of sight after three corners, only thing is he was carrying a pillion  if you ever see Swoopers lad ask him about the experience!!!!!

This sounds like a good idea in theory but we couldn't get organised and on the road yesterday before 11.30 It should all be so simple with the sun shining to temp us out of our cave but even though we were up and about early there is the complication of a) Bike not fitting in shed so being stored in Mother Out Laws garage b) Teenager to be dropped off at saturday job

So we settled for Helmsley (via 5 miles of filtering on the A64 :-( then Whitby via pickering and Malton. Lovely day for it but probably a bit much for my iffy back. Yop day for it though. :)
