I've only been riding for 7000 miles/9 months (so still a newbie
) and I feel like I've spent the last 6 months riding in the dark or wet or windy... or all three! None of which have really helped in building my confidence
But tonight, after a swift half in Burford, the ride home was awesome! Conditions were clear, dry and positively balmy. The road.. now the road was outstanding! It's only 7 or 8 miles (a stretch from Burford to Stow)but it is full of flowing left and right handers, stunning countryside and, to top it all off, not a single car in front or behind for the entire duration! I never came out of 5th and don't think I went below 60. (Not bad for a little Dakar on TKCs
) All the bends just seem to connect and flow, it just felt so right!
Only downside was that it didn't last that long... but then neither does sex
