Instead of watching the Wedding with most others, I joined Forest Biker and Clint of this Parish in a decent ride out.
We started at the Garage in Brierley where Forest Biker filled up with 'Scrumpy Petrol' as they didn't have any of the Permium on tap.
We headed to Lydbrook, then over Kerne Bridge following the B road to Abergavenny but no time for a Coffee at this point.
We then followed Clint to Llandridnod Wells finally stoping at Crossgates for a well deserved brunch, Clint only wanted a bottle of water due to a dodgy tummy but when he found out it was free with a Full English, that was it (full marks to the lad on the till for selling him that one :augie ).
At Crossgates Clint realised his Zumo was locked up so set to with an appropriate instrument to realease the battery and reset it. Forest Biker set the destination on his so off we went alaong the A44 heading for Hay on Wye........We eventually arrived at Leominster and according to Sat Nav we had to head towards Hereford, fair enough, HOW is down this road on the right.....but no, Sat Nav told us to take the A417, couple of miles down here we decided Forest Bikers Sat Nav had no sense of direction so sought out the fallback option, yep a map. Whilst looking at the map around the corner walked three chaps walking a couple of dogs, ok, not a couple 140 of the buggers, looks like they were a hunting pack. At this point in the proceedings Clints Zumo had re-loaded and took over the directions.
Eventually we arrived at HOW and drove through the Village, on the outskirts we turned into Forest Road and headed off towards Capel Y fin, stopping up the mountain and taking in the views, unfortunately it was hazey so couldnt see a lot really.
We then rode back down the other side through some narrow lanes with gravel spread out in strategic places, Forest Biker decided this looked fun so opened the throttle spinning the rear wheel and showering me with gravel, he got me just the once  We eventually arrived back at Abergavenny where we decided it was time for a coffee/tea.
We then came the old road home via Raglan and Monmouth, at this point the other two decided to show just how well the 1200's could go but kindly waited at strategic places for me to catch up :thumb2
We all parted company near Berry Hill and i took the scenic route home photographing some Bluebells on the way.

Thanks guys for an excellent day out, the unplanned routes are always the best:D

Below is another Everytrail of the trip but not so many photo's, we were enjoying the riding too much :moped:
