BMW have no idea of managing expectations. And their computer system seems to be crap at scheduling.
7 weeks ago, I ordered a 1200GS.
I orginally get a delivery date of 19th May.
Last week I was told that it will be the 24th!
Today I'm advised that it will probably be the 30th.
(But that it might even be the 28th.)
Each time, I have to make the call to find this out. And rearrange my work and domestic diaries accordingly.
And I can't use the VFR much because the rear tyre is no longer legal! Which is a pain because I use my bike for commuting. (Oh and I've sold my luggage too!)
Mind you, I suppose that I should know better...
...the same thing happened to me when I bought a BMW car 18 months ago.
I feel a sternly worded letter coming on!
So be warned.
