Bicycle mounts, Any good?

Purely from a aesthetical (spelling) point of view. What is wrong with using a pushbike mount. Is it good enough? I reckon the handlebars of a well ridden mountain bike take more stick than a purely road ridden GS....(mine)....

I would suggest you try them out and report back how long the take to bend

That's all I've ever used with my etrex legend and it's been fine I just keep the wrist strap loop around the bars just in case

works fine

I used one on my R1150R carrying a garminV and it worked fine as well as looking much neater than the army surplus ram mount jobby.
Not sure about vibration off road though not to mention using street pilot111 etc which are bigger and hevier.

Have you seen the BMW version only £11, very neat.

I use super magnets out of computer hard drives to stick me III+ to the handle bars. The magnets are clamped to the handlebars.

My gut reaction is but i have no evidence to say why.........

Never had a problem in the three years I've been doing it. the magnets stick to the metal contained in the batteries and do not affect signal strength either.. Don't forget they came out of a hard drive in the first place..ie chips, electricity etc.
