:clap Hi BL, looks like you've had a great day i wish i had the bottle to go out when the weathers a bit dodgy. Hope you've removed daughter from her hiding place. Cheers, Orca. :beerjug:

yep, the only place i have been today, that matched yours, was along winlatter, except i was going tother way, its crimminal, to have all those boring views in your back yard, when people get to see fantastic man made veiws in the cities

can't wait till summer, when i can have a run around Buttermere(about 4 miles away) around 6.00pm, when all the tourists are having tea, so the place is deserted :thumb

I carried on along until I met the A595 & turned off at Calder Bridge to travel along Cold Fell, a route I enjoy if I go to work on my bike very twisty & open visibility in most places. Great road for a GS as most of the ones I`ve been on today :thumb Then again what isn`t?
A total of 105 ish miles covered amongst some of the best scenery the world has to offer & the best bit is that it`s on my doorstep!! :clap :clap :thumb

Hope you`ve enjoyed my first attempt at a ride report :thumb

OH NO!! I knew I forgot to do something! :o

The flask was very small, I had to use great reserves of will power not to just dog it off in one go!

Great first report Big Lee. :thumb

I had often thought that there must be some great roads in Cumbria as I drove a truck from J36 on the M6 up through Shap and on towards Carlisle and those pics prove just how lucky you are. Jammy bastard. :D

Good report Big Lee.... enjoyed it ... lucky bugger having such brilliant roads and scenery to travel through and enjoy.

Wait till the tourists get there with their 'wobbly boxes' in tow :D

Great pics of a great part of the world. I' be down there more often if the hotels weren't twice the price of the rest of the world, except maybe London.

Which bits did you get your pegs down on:D
