I have also included this link to the NMA website and the direct link to the memorial page which looks very impressive.

Ok so there are going to be loads of HD riders which might not be everybody’s cup of tea but I think this is a splendid idea and thought it might be good to get a group together possibly meeting at Junction 16 of the M6. Anybody interested in joining me ?

Ian

The National Memorial Arboretum is a somewhat strange place. The only way to form an opinion about it is to go there. From where we live we'd go through Leek and Ashbourne then down the A515 to Kings Bromley rather than thrash down the M6. I'll discuss the event with Mrs Bear who's currently fast asleep and post again in the next couple of days.

I was planning on taking the A500/A50 and then dropping down the A515.

Dont think I'll bother meeting all the rest of 'em at Tamworth Services as its a bit early. registration start at 08.00 althouhgt I dont think they actually leave until around 10.30/11ish. Will check this out.

We will probably just head to the NMA and await their arrival.:thumb

Hi Ian me and Carol are up for this 1 as its for a good cause. Working Fri night so what time are you thinking of meeting at Juct 16 M6 A500.
Will try are best to attend.

Hiya Roy,

It looks like the big group depart from Tamworth at 11 am. I reckon to make sure we could join in with that then we would need to leave around 9.30am absolute latest. If we wanted to go straight to the NMA before they arrive there then we'd have to leave 10am very latest.

Its about 1 hr travel time to NMA and about 1 hr 10 to Tamworth services.

The only fly in the ointment is that I have only got a pass out if its nice weather. It's supposed to be a fun day out on the bike with Lou' instead of doing some decorating that I am supposed to be continuing from last weekend. But Lou's not up for going if its a dodgy day which means we won't be going and I will have to get to grips with the bathroom.:(

You still got mu number ?

Ian

Still got your number but may have to give it a miss as its a bit early as were working Fri night. If anything changes I will give you a bell.
If you dont hear from me take it were not coming. :blast
