Bought a Puig touring screen to replace the standard screen. Even below motorway speeds, it flexs alarmingly and I'm not confident to have it in the raised position unless below 40mph. Measures (Height x Width): 517 x 470 mm. Thinking I might swap it for a standard Adventure screen. Does anyone have the dimensions for the approx Adventure screen? Presume the screen fittings are the same?
Many thanks

The standard Adventure Screen is 45cm at the widest point and 43cm high at the lowest point on the V notch at top of screen.

The Adventure Screen is taller and wider than the standard GS screen. Adventure screen can be mounted on a standard bike as holes and fittings are in the same position.

Hope this helps.

I have the Puig screen with the Cymarc support brackets on my GSA WC....rock solid although I suspect that part of this is due to having the screen on its lowest setting as the Puig is taller than the OEM GSA screen. Great set up with visor up riding well into the higher reaches of the speedo if you so desire.

Cheers

Got to say, one of the more positive aspects in my short time of ownership of the wc, was how bloody good the standard screen was.
It was far better than the ADV screen and winglets set up on my previous gs.
Wish I had one on my current steed.

I got a givi one with their stableiser bracket big screen looks good no wobble even at its highest setting and over 90mph :-) I'm 6' 3 & does the job superb !

I should mention that at 131mph on the autobahn, I had no problems with the wunderlich screen and bracket :-)

I have the puig screen on my 14 plate lc. On the highest position I can ride with my visor up no problem at all, I'm 5'11". I have in the interest of aerodynamics had it flat out on a closed road and can confirm that it flexes like buggery and was a bit disconcerting at 140mph however it had no adverse impact on stability.

+1 :beerjug: I've now tested the screen with the Cymarc brackets and they work perfectly. With the screen in the mid-position on fast roads there's no screen flex, no buffeting and little wind noise. It's better than my RT was, even with a CalSci screen fitted :D

Just fitted a new windshield to my 15 GSAW. This one measures 522mm high by 510mm wide. And what a difference, I'm telling you. At 6'8" with a 37" inside leg the stock shield is not much effective for me. Found this shield ISOTTA being marketed by RS Motorcycle Solutions:

http://www.rs-motorcyclesolutions.de...3-windshields/

Gone is the buffeting so far, because the bike is still at running-in stage so could only accelerate up to 110 km/h. No abnormal flex of the windshield to speak of even though it is set on the highest setting. Have the clear and not the tinted so suits my white GSAW just fine. Will post a pic tomorrow.

Just one problem though. With wind buffeting gone, the engine noise takes over, not to mention the Anakees. I was not aware the tyres were so bloody noisy until now.

Another puig screen here, so far it has 6.5 k, yes it is a bit wobbly but.... looking at it on motorways .....keeps you entertain! :)

I have a brand new GSA screen for sale, taken off my new bike delivered yesterday, zero miles, I believe this will also fit the GS. I'll post pictures tomorrow in the For Sale section, £120.

Hi "Number 6", mind saying what you've replaced it with & why? Cheers Jonno

Can I put in a plug for the Ztechnik screen. I have a GSA and fitted the touring version which is £112 from NN post free. It is roughly the same dimensions as the GSA screen but has more shape to it and keeps the airflow nicely off the rider. I am 5'10" and I have it in the lowest position which gives me a great view over the top of the screen. There is a smaller version, roughly the same size as a GS screen at £103 or a bit more for the tinted version.
I have no connection with Ztechnik but used them all the time on my last 3 GS's and they seem to do a great job on the WC version.
